At Dhahabu Consulting, we celebrate individuals whose commitment and perseverance create lasting impact. This month, we are proud to recognise Mr. Neels Wentzel, recipient of a well-deserved award for his outstanding dedication to data safety and system integrity.
Since beginning his journey at Kusile on 2 May 2009, Mr. Wentzel has consistently worked to safeguard Programme Data in an environment where information was often at risk. Over the years, he introduced and refined multiple platforms, culminating in the successful implementation of Open Text. Through his training and leadership, the Planning Department became the first to fully adopt the system, setting a benchmark for effective data management.
In his own words:
“When I received the award, I was surprised because to me, this felt like a small contribution compared to earlier work. But it showed me that sometimes others see more in our efforts than we do ourselves.”
This humility, paired with persistence, reflects the very qualities that make Mr. Wentzel’s achievement so significant. What he considered a “small” contribution has, in fact, transformed the way data is secured and established a foundation for future success.
This recognition is more than an individual milestone; it is a company-wide victory and a reminder that progress is built by those who have the courage to continue, even when the task appears ordinary.
